RESOLUTION TO JOIN ARCH

WHEREAS, the Alliance of Reston Clusters and Homeowners (ARCH) has been formed as a Reston homeowner association network that could share resources and information on practical association management and on community issues affecting homeowners and, as appropriate, potentially play a role on behalf of homeowner associations in the community debate on such matters; and

WHEREAS, the _______________Board of Directors believes ARCH has the potential to be of value to the Board in serving the best interests of our association’s residents;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors resolves as follows:

1. The Board of Directors hereby elects to join ARCH as one of the organization’s General Members (as that term is defined in the ARCH incorporating documents).

2. It hereby appropriates the first annual dues, not to exceed $_____($100 for HOAs with les than 50 units; $125 for HOAs with 50 - 99 units; $150 for HOAs with 100 or more units), reserving the right to discontinue membership thereafter if it decides ARCH is not providing sufficient value for this Board and the residents it serves.

3. ____________________ is hereby appointed as this association’s Member Representative (as that term is defined in the ARCH incorporating documents) in ARCH for a [one-year] [two-year] term. This representative shall have authority to cast this association’s vote in ARCH meetings or votes.

4. Our Member Representatives shall provide this Board with ARCH status reports at our regular Board meetings.
